Who am I?

Who am I? It seems to be a simple question, too simple to think about it.
Who do you think you are? It seems full of defiance yet it is worthy of consideration.
Every one of us is nothing but one of all living things whether we are rich or poor, and whether we are a high ranked official or an ordinary citizen. We are equally a passerby in this temporal world with exactly the same jumping-off and end point. The only difference lies in the process. If we want to enjoy the process, we should learn to love—love all those around and love what you have got so as to create a world of harmony and make our process more substantial.
Some may think their present happy life derives from the charitable deeds they did in preexistence. It is likely that they may no longer make any efforts. Likewise those in poverty may expect for a better next life rather than strive for a better life. Neither attitude can do good to the active development of our society.
Who am I?
I am an ordinary soldier. But I can also be a hero if I behave heroically.
I am an ordinary engineer. But I can also be an inventor if I apply what I have learned to practice and create something new.
I am an ordinary teacher. But I can be a great educator as well if I make contribution to the educational cause.
I am somebody in my field. But I can achieve nothing if I am indulged in my past records of merits.
We are a meteor flashing across the world but we can devote ourselves to the world and make it more brilliant by burning ourselves.
What you do is who you are, both in the real world and in this virtual one.
